The Project has reacted in a positive way to the specialised needs of the 16-25 year old age group. Its philosophy is geared to supporting young people develop their self esteem and a positive approach to their lives and their place in society by providing them with opportunities for direct experiences. It also provides a space where they can relate to their peer group and to adult role models who will encourage them to participate in the learning processes and decision making structures which affect their lives, the lives of those around them and of the community within which they live and hopefully enable them to understand and act on those issues. We are also committed to forging links and representing the needs and aspirations of our young people within the community and also with the various agencies and service providers in the youth work field.
As well as their drop in centre in Cardigan, AREA 43 have a mobile centre, which will be on site.
